At last, the historic Union Cooperative Store bakery building, lovingly restored as the Rise Up Bakery, is hosting its inaugural baking workshop. This is your opportunity to learn to bake the classic Italian focaccia in a genuine wood-fired oven.
The workshop will be led by Randy George, founder of central Vermont’s Red Hen Bakery. He will share some key tips about how to make a good dough and how to bake that dough to create the basis for a whole meal unto itself.
Everyone will get to make their own focaccia to take home. Although the class will be baking in the Rise Up Bakery’s wood fired oven, the workshop will include methods for getting great results in your home oven.
Focaccia is a great way to take a simple bread and dress it up to impress your friends and family.
